Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor Construction

Location: Hertfordshire

Remuneration: 27,000 - 33,000 per annum plus benefits

Benefits will include: Company car (full expensed) or a Car allowance plus a fuel card Pension Health care Life Insurance Business and Personal mileage is covered by my client however some contribution is required to be made to personal mileage allowances

The Client: My client is a medium sized prestigious Main Contractor who focuses specifically on Construction work, which include design and build, new build and refurbishment projects

Due to recent market influences and strategic growth strategies my client now has an immediate need to an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to join their offices in Hertfordshire

The Job: The successful Quantity Surveyor will work on a good variety of projects including the following, show rooms (cars), educational centres, some social housing including flats, office developments, restaurants, theatres and leisure centres

Projects are on average worth 2.3million; however project values can vary between 1million and 6million. The successful candidate will not work on one particular project for too long as each project typically lasts around 1 year and therefore you will get a good variety of project experience

You will be based from the office in Hertfordshire; however you will be travelling to sites 2 or 3 times a week to complete measurements and surveys. My client is fairly flexible on this policy and is quite happy to let the successful candidate visit sites if and when they please as long as they have successfully completed the work they are assigned

Requirements: 3-5 years UK Quantity Surveying experience BSc in Quantity Surveying or a construction related subject (My client will support candidates on day release-this may affect the package offered) Main Contractor background with construction project experience including New Build and Design and Build An ambitious and enthusiastic attitude with a real desire to exceed expectations is essential
