 Candidate FAQs
This page contains a basic overview of how a candidate can use Eurojobs to search for new opportunities, contact recruiters and find a new career.

Registration.

Click onto the Candidate pull down menu in the blue navigation bar above and click Register.

Then simply fill in the required 'Username, E-mail Address & Password' fields on the registration form. Please note that the Username needs to be unique. If it is in use by another user then you will be prompted to use another Username. Best is to try a variation on your initial Username such as Guenther Kirch2 or Tina_Letta.
You will then be prompted to go to Login using the form provided.

My CV / Edit CV.

After logging in you will be taken to your 'My Account' page.

Click the green Enter CV button in the light blue horizontal Tool Bar.
(A description for each tool is displayed by clicking the ? icon).

Complete the form to post your CV. Please complete all fields. Make sure you only type numbers (NO comma's or dots) in the salary field. The start date field has a European format: Day/Month/Year.
As we are currently experiencing high volumes of traffic we have had to limit the time per on-line session. Please enter your CV within 30 minutes.
After registration the green button changes to a light blue 'Edit CV' button. Click on 'Edit CV' and you can add your cover letter and CV in a MS-Word or other text format as well as your photograph if you wish to do this.
After submitting your CV the following buttons will be activated:
- Privacy Settings, enables you to hide specific personal information from viewing by recruiters.
- My Jobs is activated when you have applied for a position.
- My Searches and Mailbot depend on saving a set of search parameters after you have done a Job Search. These saved searches can then be re-run at your convenience at any time.
- MailBot will automatically send you new Job adverts via email when they appear on the site.

My Jobs.

Clicking 'My Jobs in the horizontal tool bar will direct you to a page that lists all of the jobs you applied for by title. The hand shows you the different stages of your CV in the application process. The action buttons to the right do the following:

- allow you to send a message to the recruiter without using e-mail
- view job description/advert
- remove job description from your list
- apply for the job (If you have not done that yet)

My Searches.

If you cannot click on My Searches then you have not done any searches yet.

First go to Job Search in the top, dark blue, menu bar, do a search using the search tools and save it using the green Save Search button in the search results screen. Give the search a name and click the save button. You will then be taken back to the My Searches screen where your search will have been added.

You will notice that the MailBot icon shows that it has not been activated. In order to do that click on the MailBot button. The action buttons allow you to edit your search parameters, delete a search or to re-run a search.

Applying for a job.

When you have found an interesting position and want to apply, you only need to click the 'Apply' button. If you are not logged in as a candidate you will need to do so first and/or register your CV on the site. The recruiter will be notified automatically of your application. He will automatically have access to your CV. You can check the status of your application(s) in My Jobs.

Edit Details.

Edit Details allows you to change your e-mail address and your password. We do not allow you to change your Username as it has to be a unique name.

Privacy Settings.

Use the Privacy Settings to decide what will be visible to recruiters (i.e. anybody else in the world!)

Tick the boxes to hide your Postal Address, Last Name, References, Name Current Employer and Career History.
Please be aware that this information will be visible to everyone who does a search on the freely accessible part of our CV database if you do NOT tick your Last Name and/or Company Name. Anything that you have attached such as a cover letter or a CV in text format will still be visible. If you do not want to be considered for positions with certain companies enter the names of these companies in the box provided.
If you want to remain anonymous throughout you can set up an account with any 'Free' e-mail provider. We have listed four of the mainstream ones, but you can use any provider you like.

MailBot.

A Mailbot can only be used for a previously stored search.
In order to receive adverts of interest the moment they appear on Eurojobs.com you will need to:
tick the box to the right of the saved search
               AND
tick the box for MailBot ON.

To confirm this you need to click on the Confirm/Change button.
You can have up to ten different MailBots working for you at the same time.
