The Application Manager will be a member of the Application Management team. In this team several field of expertise are represented. The new Application Manager, will be responsible for the technical aspects of our systems and applications. It will be your task to install updates and new versions of proprietary and third party software and keep the availability of the systems high. Within the team you will collaborate with other team members with different domain knowledge. You will work closely with and formulate technical requests together with our infrastructure department. You will also advise on improvements of system setup. You will monitor and report on essential functionality and take action when performance requires this.

The Application Management in Amsterdam team consists of 5 FTE. You will report to the Lead Application Management.

Your responsibilities are divers and include:

* User administration
* Owner of Acceptance and Production environment
* Installing updates and new releases
* 2nd line support for your (web) applications
* Supplier management ( e.g. Data providers)
* Performance monitoring
* Capacity planning

Your Profile:

* At least 3 years relevant experience as an Application Manager, (or Information Analyst/ Technical Application Engineer) with a focus on web applications in an e-commerce environment
* Bachelor or Master Degree
* Experienced in IIS Web services, including Rewrite/Redirection, Windows 2008
* Knowledge and experience in server administration on a Microsoft platform and networking technologies
* Proficient English language skills as English is the main language at our client
* Knowledge of MS SQL is an advantage

The work will be done in office hours mainly. Installations or escalations sometimes need to be done outside office hours; therefore we are looking for people with a flexible work attitude. You need to have a certain level of seniority and a good sense of urgency. In the future we expect you to be willing to participate in a 24/7 standby shift.
