Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join a successful, professional and proactive team. The successful candidate will be managing, accounting systems, delivering relevant and accurate reporting and analysis and processing payroll for group entities.

Main duties and responsibilities - Assistant Accountant

* To manage the nominal ledger for group entities including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments and month end journal entries.
* Managing cash balances and producing cash flow statements.
* Managing home bank accounts and processing requests for cash drawdowns.
* Maintaining resident records on invoicing system.
* Producing monthly invoicing and managing aged debtors.
* Maintaining and updating payroll systems, managing the interface with the operational time and attendance system and processing month end payroll.
* Dealing with payroll queries
* Supervising residents finance transactions and records
* Compiling and processing supplier payment runs.
* Supporting home managers, administrators, procurement, HR and purchase ledger staff in resolving financial queries and issues.
* To support the efficient and effective management of all the administrative processes and general housekeeping associated with the Head Office services, including answering phones, general filing and opening post.

Requirements: Assistant Accountant

* Part qualified ACCA, CIMA, or qualified AAT
* Strong technical Accounting skills
* High level of competency with Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll
* Advanced excel skills
* Knowledge of HSBCNet an advantage
