Acorn Appointments is looking for 2 Assistant Head Teachers for an SEN school in South East London. The role will commence in September 2013 on a temporary basis with the view to turn in to a permanent position for the right person. The school caters for 11-16 year olds with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Autism and other complex needs. You will become an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and will make a positive impact on students. The successful applicants will have prior SLT experience, preferably in an SEN or challenging Secondary school and will also specialise in Inclusion and/or Assessment and Curriculum.

In order for us to be able to find you work in a school, you must:
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification, and be registered with The Teaching Agency.
- Hold a valid CRB or DBS check, issued within the last 12 months, as well as any applicable Overseas Police Checks.
- Have an up to date CV, and be able to provide 2 references from senior members of staff that have seen you teach in the past 2 years.

You should also be fully committed to:
- Encouraging learning, participating fully in school activities and in providing an improved level of education.
- Safeguarding standards, the general wellbeing of students within your care, and their personal development needs.
