CARDIAC CATH LAB NURSE

DUTIES
Working as a staff nurse providing care for patients before during and after a variety of Interventional Cardiology procedures including:
* Angiogram
* Ablation
* Coronary Angioplasty
* Pacemaker Implantation
* Cardioverter Insertion
* Diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures and radiology procedures.
* Patient education, ensuring they are fully informed of the planned treatment, including post procedure instructions and care. Ensuring all patient queries and questions are answered.
* Patient assessment.
* Observations and cardiac monitoring.
* Phlebotomy and cannulation.
* Perform ECG's.
* Wound care

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
* Current NMC registration as RGN
* Minimum of 2 years experience dealing with patients undergoing interventional cardiology procedures.
* Sound working knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures.
* Enthusiastic and dedicated to providing first class nursing care.
* Team player.
