Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive support to clinical operations and to manage the negotiation of monetary and legal aspects of contracts.
Provide support to Clinical Development for vendor selection, contracting and negotiating vendor/CRO agreements
Negotiation of agreements using favourable pricing models including the consideration of value-based pricing models.
Building strategic relationships with vendors
Lead the process of generating requests for proposals and subsequently review proposals
Determine timing and appropriateness of milestone payments as the clinical trials progress.
Reconcile clinical trial cost projections
Support quality team in drafting new processes.
Education and Experience
━ Degree in science or business discipline, or equivalent.
━ Substantial experience within procurement and dealing with the practical and monetary elements of third party supply contracts for clinical trial services with vendors, hospitals and clinical trial sites including initiation, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award.
━ Experience with the specific aspects of contract negotiation in a regulated health care or pharmaceutical environment including management of risk, subject injury, indemnification and insurance.
━ Understanding of clinical trial protocol requirements
━ Experience with the pricing of clinical services, the respective roles of the institution, investigator and clinical departments, including points for negotiation and compromise.
Commercial acumen and first class analytical and problem solving skills
