The Redline Group are currently seeking an experienced Contract Mechanical Design Engineer (Electronics) to provide support on a major project win.
Working for a high technology electronics company in Herefordshire, you will be able to develop 3D design schemes to satisfy customer requirements, whilst modifying and improving existing concepts.
About You - Contract Mechanical Design Engineer (Electronics)
-Highly proficient SolidWorks user (Inventor or similar considered)
-Experienced in machining from solid and folded assemblies.
-Able to produce mechanical drawings to meet machining requirements.
-Some Electronics packaging experience
-Basic knowledge of plastics
-Design for Harsh / Rugged environments
-Product design expertise; ideally for military or similar environment.
-Knowledge of factors such as size, weight, environmental protection, electro-magnetic compatibility. (EMC)
