Our client is a leader in the provision of Surface Treatment services to the Aerospace Industry sector.
With major clients like Agusta Westland/BAe/Airbus, our client has a stable and loyal client base, making for a solid and stable business.
An opportunity now exists for a Plating Operative to join an already busy workshop.
Responsibilities
* Operate and control electroplating equipment to coat metal and other objects
* Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices
* Ensure plating equipment is maintained in good working and clean condition.
* Ensure all paperwork, recording and monitoring is completed as per specification or procedure
* May clean and prepare metal parts for coating
* May tend ovens, which cure metal coating.
* The use of chemical stripping to remove unwanted masking or plating.
* Working within health and safety and environmental requirements.
* Work to procedures and specifications through work instruction.
* Ensure good housekeeping within the plating area.
