A challenging and dynamic role of Engineering Manager - Mechanical, Instrumentation has become available in the Cambridge area. My world renowned client is involved in precision electro-mechanical products and look to expand their management team and future commercial ambitions.

My client's world design centre is commutable from Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Neots, Bury St Edmunds, Bedford, Royston, Hitchin, Saffron Walden and Ely.

As an Engineering Manager - Mechanical, Instrumentation you will be responsible in delivering all aspects of new product development within the mechanical design team.

You will report into the Head of Product Development and lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers.

As an Engineering Manager you will be accountable for the Body & Layout department. You will be involved in full product lifecycle development, technical reviews, develop junior team members, liaise with programme managers and create product road maps.

The ideal Engineering Manager - Mechanical, Instrumentation will have the following experience;

-Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering new products
-Minimum of 10 years in mechanical design, simulation and development
-Minimum of 5 years experience of managing OR leading a team

This is a role that will demand someone to be a critical thinker, team motivator and a passion for mechanical engineering.
