The Financial Accountant will be part of the Finance department, specifically supporting the French finance function reporting to the Finance Manager.

* Project manage the Oracle financials and reporting tool testing for the French region, which will involve attending some training sessions in Paris.
* Liaise and build good working relationships with key members of the local French finance team pre and post go live to ensure all accounting flows are correctly accounted for.
* Ensure all necessary internal financial frameworks are set up correctly for the French region (e.g. payment processing, cash flow management, reporting).
* Ensure adequate, timely and robust financial reporting and controls are in place for the French region, so all reporting deadlines to Paris are met and monthly reporting packages can be prepared that really give a good insight into the key areas of the business to help management make more informed decisions.
* Manage the French regions monthly P&L, budgets, forecasts, analysis, reporting and provide insight and perspective to ensure accuracy and quality of data.
* Perform controls ensuring all financial positions have been booked (revenue, costs, rebilling, bank, recoverability of debtors and accruals), justified and monthly check list has been performed.
* Have a good understanding of VAT flows for the French region and how it impacts Global Services to ensure EU VAT rules conformity.
* Review the French service contracts to obtain a good understanding level and to ensure the service contracts are accounted for correctly in the financial statements.
* Escalate processes for improvements, corrections and disputes to Finance Manager.
* Participate in initiatives to improve processes, create efficiencies and automate processes.
* Contact person for any audit queries for the French region.

Requirements:

* French Language
* Recently qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 1 or 2 years work experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Evidence of effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong and proven analytical skills and detail orientated.
* Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
* Flexible, adaptable, able to multitask and work to deadlines.
* Evidence of addressing issues pro-actively and positively, using logical and creative ideas to achieve satisfactory solutions.
* Advanced IT skills are a must, with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
* Oracle financials experience is key to success in the role.
