Our client, a major Wireless Semiconductor organisation in the Cambridge area, is looking for a Group Leader for the Physical Design team.
This role combines a strong technical hands-on focus with leadership responsibilities and day to day running of the group. Not only will your responsibility include execution and delivery from your team on all physical design activities, you will also keep abreast of new tools and methodologies to ensure a best-in-class implementation flow, yielding high quality and timely delivery of complex, deep sub-micron SoCs.
This role could suit an individual with proven project management experience or an experienced engineer looking to step into a leadership role.
The role requires someone with:
*Extensive engineering experience in Digital Physical Design / Digital Chip Implementation
*Excellent understanding and interest in EDA tools, flows and methodologies.
*A strong ability to lead and motivate a team of Physical Design Engineers
*Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and external EDA tool vendors
