A unique opportunity has arisen with my client, based in Andover - Hampshire, who design and manufacture a range of electro-mechanical products that are sold all over the world.

They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer based in Andover, to be proactive in providing day-to-day operational support for the manufacturing facility. This Manufacturing Engineer will also improve process capability to ensure QCD targets are achieved and support the NPI process.

Reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer the key responsibilities are:

*Provide ongoing support for day-to-day technical process issues in production.
*Lead and promote continuous process improvement activities.
*Ability to generate and maintain PFMEAs.
*Support preventative action activities by applying recognised problem-solving techniques.
*Support the development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation and tooling.
*Support and initiate engineering design change requests.
*Support NPI process to ensure robust, capable and 'best practice' manufacturing processes are implemented into manufacturing that are accepted and operated by production on a day-to-day basis.
*Manager the NPI process handover into production.
*Create and maintain standard work costs and capital authorisation requests.


The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with an understanding of 'world class manufacturing' best practices. Able to demonstrate ability to influence product design for manufacture and assembly. Process knowledge of welding, fabrication and general assembly techniques and experience of mechanical tool design.
