We're currently recruiting for the vacancy of NURSE PRACTITIONER on behalf of one of UK's leading independent healthcare companies.

FACILITY INFORMATION:
A large medical practice and walk in centre, run by one of the UK's leading independent healthcare providers.

The centre is open every day and offers a range of services for both registered patients and unregistered walk in patients.

The service can provide treatment for a range of minor injuries and illnesses that patients cannot manage themselves at home, for example:
* Earache and ear infection,
* Removal of foreign bodies,
* Eye problems, e.g. conjunctivitis, minor foreign bodies to eye,
* Minor facial wounds, bruising, swelling,
* Minor head injury - with no loss of consciousness,
* Muscle, bone and joint injuries - sprains, strains and soft tissue injuries,
* Neck pain/strain, minor whiplash,
* Uncomplicated nose bleeds,
* Flu-like symptoms,
* Tonsillitis, sore throat,
* Stomach ache, sickness, vomiting and diarrhoea,
* Wounds - superficial cuts/lacerations, bruises, bites and minor burns,
* Insect bites/stings, animal bites,
* Thrush, cystitis,
* Coughs, colds, flu type symptoms,
* Skin complaints including rashes and minor allergic reactions.


NURSE PRACTITIONER

DUTIES
* Providing treatment and advice for a variety of minor injuries and ailments including:
* Minor illnesses e.g. Ear and throat infections, Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms, Stomach upsets, Minor eye conditions and infections.
* Other common illnesses.
* Minor injuries e.g. Minor head injuries, Cuts and grazes, Minor scalds and burns, Strains and sprains, Bites and stings
* Emergency contraception
* Dermatology complaints e.g. Minor skin infections and rashes
* Asthma
* Treatment of paediatric patients

PERSON SPECIFICATION
* RGN with current valid NMC registration
* Working over the last year in Primary Care, A&E or the Urgent care / Unscheduled care setting
* Post qualification experience in autonomous practice
* Advanced registered qualification as Nurse Prescriber is essential.
* Qualifications in Minor Injuries or Minor Ailments Treatment a definite advantage.
