Senior Occupational Therapist - Wiltshire

Based in Salisbury the company specialise in Neuro rehabilitation and are currently recruiting for a senior OT to treat complex neurological cases.

The home provides a complete range of inpatient medical care and rehabilitation services to adults who are living with severe physical, cognitive or behavioural impairments, resulting from long-term neurological conditions including acquired or traumatic brain injury.

Your role will require you to -
*To manage a caseload of patients with complex needs using evidence based/
client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
*To provide leadership for junior staff and students through supervision and appraisal.
*To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT / MDT services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
*Provision of in-depth assessments, detailed reports and early interventions for brain injured patients with complex needs regarding rehabilitation.

Your duties will include -
To select and apply Occupational Therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the patient in areas of self maintenance, productivity and leisure.
*To work with patients to identify OT goals as part of the overall care plan.
*To work within the multi disciplinary team and within guidelines set by Healthcare Commission and College of Occupational Therapy.
*To plan and implement individual and / or group interventions in collaboration with the patient using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
*To work with and educate carers as appropriate.

To be a considered for this position you must be a qualified OT with proven experience treating neurological patients and have experience of overseeing junior staff. You must be registered with HCPC and have developed CPD folder. Oversees applicants must have a minimum of 1 years UK experience, unless you are from USA, Australia or New Zealand.
