Optical Systems Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Optical Systems Engineer to join a world-leading technology company at the forefront in their industry. As an Optical Systems Engineer you be responsible for ensuring all products developed by the Optical Systems Group adhere to specific requirements. You will be involved throughout the whole product evolution phase, including design, testing and integration.

As Optical Systems Engineer, you will also take responsibility for:

- Developing optical systems for a range of space missions.
- Designing and developing optical systems from concept through to launch.
- Defining, preparing and maintaining specifications for optical systems.
- Being the technical contact for various optical systems.
- Overseeing the manufacture of systems.

For this role, you should have:

- A PhD in Applied Optics or Physics ideally, however a relevant degree coupled with experience will be considered.
- Comprehensive understanding of Optical Engineering.
- Knowledge of engineering disciplines such as electronics and opto-mechanics.
- Optical design experience would be beneficial.

This role is based in Kent and offers a salary ranging from �35k - �50k, dependent on experience, plus some excellent benefits (32 days holiday + bank holodays, pension, healthcare, gym.)
