We're currently recruiting for the vacancy of OUTPATIENTS NURSE on behalf of a prestigious Hospital in the Somerset region.

Services include: Diagnostics, ENT Procedures, Endoscopy, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Major and Minor Orthopaedic Surgery (including joint replacements) Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery and Urology.

OUTPATIENTS NURSE

DUTIES
* Ensuring smooth running of the outpatient clinics.
* Patient reception and registration
* Chaperone duties.
* Assisting the Consultants during consultations and with minor ops and procedures.
* Pre-admission diagnostic procedures -such as ECG, blood tests etc
* Preparation for clinics, ensuring rooms are clean and appropriately equipped
* Prepare notes/chase scans + blood results, as well as request specific tests
* Post surgical consultation and care of surgical wounds
* Undertake wound dressing, suture removal, skin allergy testing
* Cannulation and phlebotomy.
* Health education and promotion

REQUIREMENTS
* RGN with current NMC registration
* The willingness and flexibility to work as a team player
* Previous experience in the outpatient / clinic setting.
