PMO Manager required by leading and highly respected technology consultancy.
This exciting PMO manager role will give you the opportunity to work on large engagements for clients in a whole range of sectors covering both IT and business change areas. This consultancy work with some of the biggest names and as well as a challenging, varied role you will receive fantastic training, career development.
You will be responsible for the setting up and running of an effective programme management office and processes on an engagement, enabling the provision of support and information to programme management. Using various tools you will oversee project planning, control and estimating and you will take control of risk and issue management. You will provide valuable management information through status tracking and reporting and will provide configuration and document management support. Part of your role will see you responsible for project financial management including month end processing (experience of contract management would be very useful). You will also help source resources, provide advice on PMO procedures and practices and will provide overall administrative support.
To be considered for this fantastic PMO opportunity you will have previous experience of successfully setting up and running programme management offices. You will have excellent communication and team working skills and will be confident operating and dealing with senior level stakeholders. You will possess the ability to provide and present complex management information and will have experience of managing staff. Knowledge of formal project management methods such as Agile or Prince2 is desirable as is experience of using recognised planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Open Workbench or Clarity. Commercial skills and knowledge of project financials and accounting processes and techniques is also highly desirable.
