Based in Stoke on Trent the company are currently recruiting for a physiotherapist to work in their secure home that treats young adults with physical and learning disabilities.
The home has 60 beds and provides bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and also has a physiotherapy room for patients to be treated.
Your key tasks will be:
*Taking responsibility for a clinical case load
*Carrying out assessments and reviews, ensuring that service users receive appropriate training
*Using appropriate communication skills and tools to communicate with service users
*Monitoring, evaluating and recording patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required
*Liaising with agencies including GPs, consultants, hospital staff, PCTs and social services
*Liaising with the nursing team and care staff
*Working as part of a team
*Assisting with the training of other health care staff as required
To be considered for this post you will be a qualified physiotherapist with at least 1 year post qualification experience, ideally from the private sector and have current registration with the HCPC. Experience in tracheostomy and neurological care would be advantageous
