We're currently recruiting for the vacancy of PRE ASSESSMENT NURSE on behalf of a prestigious Hospital in the West Yorkshire region.

Large private hospital in Leeds run by a leading healthcare provider in the UK. This large hospital is equipped with the latest in medical technology, and offers an extensive range of diagnostic and therapy facilities and surgical and medical procedures.


PRE-ASSESSMENT NURSE

DUTIES
* Working as a staff nurse in the Pre-Assessment Department, assisting in the smooth and efficient running of the service.
* Undertaking pre-admission screening to ensure fitness for surgery.
* Patient education, ensuring they are fully informed of the planned treatment, including post operative instructions and care. Ensuring all patient queries and questions are answered.
* Referral to the appropriate staff for further assessment or treatment where indicated.
* Assisting in the day to day running of the clinics and treatment facilities.
* Provide support to new and junior staff members


PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
* Minimum of 12 months post qualification experience in the acute setting, with some experience working in the OPD / Pre-assessment setting
* Ability to communicate fluently in English (speaking, listening and writing)
* Hold current NMC registration.
