Our client is a leading manufacturing organisation which produces a range of hard materials that can be applied to several applications in a number of sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with proven experience, ideally within an industrial/ commercial environment to lead a team who in many cases will be modifying existing products or in some cases creating step change innovation in order to meet the commercial needs of its clients.

You will technically be strong with a relevant physical science or engineering degree ideally enhanced with a PhD and/or an MBA.

The role involves the strategic, tactical and operational management of the function.
This will include client meetings along with commercial/business managers to scope out solutions. This will be brought back in house where you will project manage the solutions, trialling in pilot production and finally taking into full production.

International travel will be required. A proven background of achieving a step change will be highly attractive to my client.

Its essential that you have strong leadership and managerial skills and that through effective communication you can create relationships at all levels.
