Parallel Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a major mobile software brand who are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join their expanding mobile development unit. Successful candidates will be responsible for developing mobile applications for clients across Smartphones & other mobile devices, mentoring junior developers.
Requirements:
*Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle, having worked during all stages.
*Good portfolio of apps on Google Play.
*At least 5 years' experience of Java programming.
*At least 3 years' experience developing mobile applications on Android platform, using multithreaded networked applications & developing custom Android widget / views.
*Experience & / or knowledge of NFC / Javacard
*Good commercial experience with MVC & Object Oriented programming skills, demonstrable through past work examples.
*Experience of Agile methods, including SCRUM.
*Experience in REST based application development.
*Experience in JSON/XML based application development
*Experience with JUnit or equivalent
*Experience with CVS, SVN, Mercurial or Git.
Desirable:
*Experience with JSON data model.
*Experience with Google MAP API
*Hands on experience with Ant.
*Working knowledge of SQLite.
*Hands on experience with Maven
*Experience with WML / XHTML or any other similar technologies.
