Parallel Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a major mobile banking brand who are looking for a Senior Mobile Test Analyst to join their expanding mobile development unit. Successful candidates will be responsible for testing native mobile & web applications for clients across Smartphones & other mobile devices.
The right candidate will have significant automation testing experience across native mobile & web applications in a strong Java & Agile environment. In return, candidates can expect a basic salary of up to £55,000 plus 10% bonus & an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for reviewing business requirement & technical specifications, focussing on testability & identification of test cases.
*Assist test engineering lead in the development of test plans, the design of test cases, scenarios & test data.
*Supervision of test engineers in test script development, including hands on involvement for complex / more technical cases.
*Execute test cases, identify & log defects, liaising with relevant parties on resolution, re-testing & closure.
*Undertake system, integration, end-to-end & regression testing, against mobile Apps, web sites & web services.
*Design & implement automation of new & existing tests, identify opportunities for & realise benefits of test code reuse.
*Proven experience in building automation test suites & supporting frameworks; with a good understanding of integrated approaches including continuous delivery & behaviour driven development.
*Provide assistance to internal & external operational staff in the performance of acceptance testing.
*Technical testing of application component integration, understanding of SOA & messaging patterns & related testing approaches.
*Certification testing, working with external parties to ensure that products adhere to certifiable standards, eg. Apple & Blackberry Certification.
*Coordinate with technical & non-technical teams & third parties in agreeing test plans, data, tools, resources & timescales.
*Providing assistance to internal & external operational stakeholders during UAT / acceptance testing
*Support test engineering lead in preparation of test metrics & status reports, highlighting milestone progress, issues & risk as appropriate.
*Maintain awareness of & adherence to test policy & standards.
Requirements:
*Good understanding of the full software project lifecycle.
*Proven experience of test planning & execution on range of software products.
*Supervising work of onshore & offshore test analysts.
*In depth experience of producing detailed technical & functional cases.
*Experience in testing native & web applications on iOS, Android, Blackberry & / or Windows platforms.
*Significant experience in using test automation tools independently, eg. Selenium Web driver, SoapUI Pro, eggPlant, Jbehave.
*Significant experience testing complex distributed enterprise applications, especially those with web services components & /or SOA architecture.
*Experience of collaborative testing techniques, eg. TDD / BDD / Agile, & test / defect management tools such as HP Quality Center & Jira.
*Experience with analysing defect patterns & prioritisation for features, reporting test execution progress & status.
