SURGICAL WARD NURSE

DUTIES
* Working as a surgical ward nurse, providing pre and post operative care to patients undergoing a variety of elective surgical procedures.
* Admissions and pre-operative preparation,
* Post operative care
* Wound care and dressings
* Administration of medications
* Ensure that patients are safe and ready before discharge home
* Ensure all patients receive holistic and patient centred care.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in pre and post operative care in the acute surgical setting.
* Hold current NMC registration
