We're currently recruiting for the vacancy of SURGICAL WARD SISTER on behalf of a prestigious Hospital in the Oxfordshire region.

SURGICAL WARD SISTER/CHARGE NURSE
DUTIES
* Working as charge nurse of the ward, providing pre and post operative care to patients undergoing elective surgical procedures.
* Day to day management of the ward team.
* Admissions and pre-operative preparation,
* Post operative care
* Wound care and dressings
* Administration of medications
* Ensure that patients are safe and ready before discharge home
* Provide support and mentorship to junior staff members
* Lead the team of staff to ensure all patients receive holistic and patient centred care.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum of 5 years post registration experience working in the surgical ward setting.
* Hold current NMC registration.
