Financial Accountant (Team Leader) - Channel Islands

Change International is assisting with the recruitment of a Financial Reporting Accountant for a well established global leader within investment management and fund administration. In his role you will have Managerial responsibilities, so there is an expectation of experience in this area.

This is a great opportunity to work with a client who is a world renowned, blue-chip organisation originating in the United States over 100 years ago who has expanded to a global brand with offices covering all major markets and financial hubs worldwide.

You will be based on Guernsey one of the Channel Islands which lie between the south coast of England and France. This island is influenced by both British and French culture, and boasts sandy beaches, stunning scenery and island lifestyle. This position offers professional development within an progressive company coupled with low tax rates and an idyllic lifestyle.

Your responsibilities will include participating in department planning meetings, staffing levels and best practice. You will be responsible for reviewing/authorising accounts and working papers produced by your team.

Requirements:

* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or similar)
* Post qualification experience of 3+ years
* Previous Team Leading experience
* IFRS and UK GAAP experience
* Detailed knowledge of Open and Closed ended Funds
* Experienced working within a fund accounting environment
* Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for funds
* Good client relationship management and interpersonal skills
* EU national
