Our client is a Market leader with the waste material sector with a presence throughout the UK. They are able to maintain the corporate image within the Industrial Sector.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Business Development Manager to join them.

The role combines the skills of Business Development, Buying and Account Management and suits someone from this particular background

The main purpose of the job is to source scrap material within a designated area from prospect companies in accordance with guidelines and protocols set by the business heads.

The role:

Identify companies to whom they could potentially provide industrial services to in line with company objectives. With a view to purchasing their waste products.

Make initial contact such as phone calls, send e-mails and letters in line with company standards to determine whether the prospect companies would benefit from their Industrial Services.

Quoting prices to customers which should take into account the value of the material, logistics costs, waste disposal charges in order to maximise profit.

Liaise with other BDMs and Account Managers to ensure that they are making a coordinated effort and prospects are distributed on a practical basis.

Liaise with Transport and Admin.

The role suits a candidate from a Logistics, Construction or Industrial Background that has carried out Buying, Business Development role or Account Management role previously.

A Driving license is essential and Travel is a key part of the role.

You must be used to Customer Facing roles and targets.
