Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in ensuring the clients NAV's/Prices are released accurately and within the agreed KPI/SLA
* Be fully focussed on error prevention by reviewing the daily NAV 'packs' as well as being fully engaged in regular, pro-active and in-depth analysis of all aspects of the NAV.
* Support the Senior Supervisor to ensure that the team is organised, controlled and prioritised and that motivation is at an optimum
* Review management information to identify areas of improvement/concern and to assist in reporting these statistics to the Section Manager
* Be at the forefront of promoting a culture of continual improvement and to take responsibility for identifying and implementing process improvements within the team
* Liaise with other team members to ensure the following
* The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Valuations team by gaining experience of assisting in managing a team and being given responsibility to meet targets and deadlines through their own productivity and people management ability
* The successful candidate will gain additional experience of delivering continuous improvement projects and integrating a project based environment into a front line business unit
Knowledge/Experience:
* Substantial experience of working within a daily valuations/fund accounting area
* Mutual Funds (UT's/OEIC's) experience a strong preference
* Understanding of double entry accounting and how it is applied to the valuation of mutual funds
* Some management experience and an ability to manage others
* Ability to move levels (up and down) to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner
* Deep understanding of the financial services industry and in particular the fund services/TPA environment
* Relevant qualifications such as IAQ highly desirable
* Accounting qualifications preferable but not essential.
