    They are seeking Terminal Service Team Leaders for their terminals at London Heathrow airport. This is a permanent position.

    With so many passengers passing through London Heathrow  every day, providing excellent customer service and an easy, stress free journey through our airports is often the yardstick by which our client is measured.

     

    With this in mind, our clients Terminal Service Team Leaders take great care to ensure that each of our terminal teams remain focused on ensuring the smooth running of the terminals for all our passengers.

    Reporting into a Terminal Service Manager, as a Terminal Service Team Leader, you will be the front line manager overseeing the day-to-day terminal operation.  This will include: Managing the flow of passengers through security zones, maintaining the highest security standards for passengers and staff; Liaising with airlines to support their efficient operation; Providing special needs assistance to passengers; Providing efficient, up-to-date information services to passengers and supporting our retail and property businesses.

    Your duties will span most areas of the terminal, from security to offices and retail space. Wherever the terminal teams operate, you will ensure that they are meeting the agreed service delivery standards and always putting the customer experience first.

    Balancing a passenger focus with strong leadership and managerial skills is no easy task. Ideally, you will have experience in a large, multi-site customer service role to enable you to effectively manage an ever-changing environment.

    Specifically you will be responsible for providing first line management, coaching and communication for front line teams within terminal business units, including monitoring and managing the security screening area.

    These teams are responsible for delivering a great experience for all our customers, staff and third parties, and as a Terminal Service Team Leader you will play  a key role of leadership in these areas

    This will enable the delivery of excellent customer service, compliance with company, legal and regulatory requirements including Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) targets throughout the day.

    Although security and health and safety features a key part of the role, our client is open minded as to your background, although you should have experience in working within a multi – site customer service / commercial environment.

     

    Ideal backgrounds would be facilities management, security, health and safety, logistics etc

     

    This is a frontline role leading a team of airport support staff championing excellence, which requires supervisory / management experience and excellent inter-personal and customer service skills.

     

     

    As an experienced leader of people you will have the proactive ability to challenge existing practices and drive through change to benefit the business. Excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills coupled with influencing skills and teamwork, will already have ensured your success as a Supervisor or Manager.

     You must be customer focused developing approaches in the area based on a strong appreciation of customers needs.

     You will be PC / IT literate and able to analyse and manage sensitive data and make decisions based on it.

    Ideally you will have already had previous training in security process and standards.

    Our client offers a basic salary in the range of £27,912 - £32,080. In addition a shift allowance is payable. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus public holidays, final salaried pension scheme.
