  • Our client is a leading occupational driver risk management provider, who specialise in providing assessment and training services to a range of industry sectors across the UK.  

     

    Our client is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to join their London based team, to develop new business in the South East region.  This is a permanent position.

     

    Based from home and reporting to the Group Sales Director in London, you will be responsible for sourcing, developing and winning new business in the London and South East region. 

     

    Responsibilities within the role will include to proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying market needs and prospective customers.

    You will plan and organise time and plan and organise the development of the allocated geographical area.

    You will effectively and efficiently deal with all allocated sales enquires providing and managing new business sales forecast and budgets.

    You will generate new leads and appointments with new customers, identifying driver risk management needs and offering effective solutions.

    You will seamlessly hand over accounts to the appropriate Account Manager when new business confirmed.

    You will liaise with other departments within the group as necessary.

    You will record all prospect, customer and sales activity on our clients computer database system.

    You will match or adapt existing products and services to meet the needs of prospects and customers.

    You will design and implement sales and marketing initiatives to promote our clients services and generate new business opportunities.

    Finally you will co-ordinate and produce monthly reports to deadline and whenever possible and appropriate promote the benefits of becoming a member/associate of our clients organisation.

    To be considered for this role you will need to be an accomplished Business Development Manager with detailed knowledge of the Occupational Driver Training Industry.

     

    You will have previous account Management experience working with blue chip clients and ideally have previous experience in customer service roles including client relationship management.

     

    You will have excellent customer service skills and able to build strong relationships with clients.

     

    You must have good effective presentation skills, good oral and written communication skills and excellent organisational and planning skills.

     

    In addition you will have problem solving ability, be persuasive, able to work in a team and on your own initiative.

     

    You will be reliable and trustworthy, able to maintain confidentiality, able to work under pressure and able to meet deadlines.

     

    You will be proficient in standard computer software packages and CRM systems.
