Asset Planner (Water Industry)

My client is looking for a Non-Infrastructure (Above Ground) Asset Planner to work in the water industry on projects such as Water Treatment Plants & Pumping Stations.

Reporting to the Asset Planning Manager you will be responsible for delivering current and long-term business outputs.

Main Duties:
- Manage the long-term non-infrastructure asset management plan.
- Prioritise business investment requirements with due consideration of cost, time and quality.
- Develop and implement planned and reactive optimisation to maximise efficiencies whilst delivering key investment outputs.
- Work closely with Operations and other functional areas in defining asset maintenance scheduling to optimise plant and maximise operational efficiency.
- Liaise regularly with cross business functions to ensure outputs are fit for purpose and that the above ground asset plan reflects business need.
- Sponsor projects in conjunction with the wider business and ensure that the deliverables are robust, fit for purpose and meet operational need.
- Produce project briefs, signed off by the business for delivery, where appropriate, to Engineering for procurement and deliver of the capital works.
- Liaise with other external bodies to ensure that the company is at the forefront of new technology.

Requirements:
- A technically qualified professional is an essential requirement, preferably chartered, but otherwise with substantial asset management experience and an appropriate degree.
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT and analytical skills.
- Understanding of operational and asset management aspects of a regulated business.
- A strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised and to produce quality outputs to key dates.
