Intel Team Leader required for a multinational Client based in Dublin 18. As the Infrastructure Manager (Linux / Intel) you will provide technical and people management leadership to a team of multi skilled Intel Specialists who are responsible for the overall performance and availability of the Windows/Linux/Intel environment. Responsibilities within this team also include supporting VMWare and a large Storage Area Network (SAN).

The Intel Team Leader day to day activities include supervision, planning and coaching of the team while maintaining a hands on technical role.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of your team of 5 Intel Specialists to include performance management, retention, reward and recognition
• Identify and design training needs of team members through coaching and one to one performance reviews
• Provide mentoring and guidance for team members
• Recruit, train and lead team members in all aspects of their role
• Where necessary, evaluate, develop and communicate systems security policies and procedures
• Define and direct troubleshooting activities to meetSLA’s
• Maintain and enhance disaster recovery procedures to ensure that the environment is operational at all times
• Must adopt a “hands on” approach and help out with the team as and when necessary
• Responsible for ensuring that the server infrastructure and operating system software is controlled and operated effectively by the team
• Manage the team performance within operations activities including scheduling backups and batch jobs, administrating user accounts troubleshooting hardware and software problems, managing system security, etc.

Requirements

• Technical qualification plus 6+ years experience in computer operations or production control for Windows server systems (ideally) in a data centre environment.
• People management experience
• Strong knowledge and experience of the Windows and Intel server platforms and related technology (e.g. Active Directory)
• Knowledge and experience of IBM xSeries systems and with Microsoft Windows Server Technology.
• Knowledge of VMWare and SAN technology
• Experience of Linux within an enterprise environment
• Proven delivery of information services based on the Windows platform.
• Fluent in business English language - written and verbal.
• ITIL foundation (desirable)
