Exclusive to Allen Recruitment - An exciting role for an Oracle DBA. We are looking for a talented Oracle Database Administrator to join an expanding software company that develops a number of sophisticated products which are used by clients (UK, Europe,North America)

The successful Oracle DBA will come on board and report into the Senior Oracle DBA and handle aspects of their customers and internal Oracle database requirements and undergo responsibilities such as:

• Becoming familiar with current database schemas.
• Performing the best practice DB design, configuration and usage with the development and support teams.
• Maintaining the database schema for the product range with generation of database migration scripts, maintenance scripts etc.
• Write and update content for our clients training courses and documentation using best practice procedures, methodologies and tools.

Experience Required

• Experience working with Oracle 11g would be a preference.
• Experience working in an IT development team.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and capable with relational database design ideally with experience of database modelling tools.
• Oracle database configuration and administration.
• Performance diagnosis / solution implementation.
• Preventative maintenance tasks.
• Bulk data transfer methods.
