Due to a significant restructure and streamlining exercise we have exciting opportunities for two Project Engineers to join an oil & gas engineering company on a range of high profile international projects. With complete responsibility for technical, commercial, administrative, quality and sales aspects of the assigned projects youll be pivotal in ensuring working best practise and the successful delivery of a range of high value and diverse assignments.
The Role
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-To Project Manage in a pro-active manner, including regular interface with clients, colleagues and other contractors
-Prepare bids and quotations for potential projects, revising as necessary and if accepted, controlling/monitoring costs
-Preparation of comprehensive programmes of work and equipment lists for assigned projects
-Responsibility for delivery of the products and services to clients on time, on quality and on cost for allocated projects
-Liaison with sales team to identify and respond to sales opportunities
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
-Provide input into the preparation of tender bids and quotations for new opportunities and variation work for ongoing active projects;
-Control and management of all commercial and technical aspects of assigned Projects
-Preparation of job travellers for workshop staff to ensure all equipment and tooling is assembled / prepared to meet the time demands of the project and all consumables / parts are available
-Selection of the correct tools/equipment to fulfil operational requirements with the assistance of the Technical Director and Operations Manager
-Ensuring all calculations are carried out to verify the suitability of procedures and equipment proposed to be used
-Production of detailed technical reports and procedures to the company standard
-Responsibility for ensuring assigned projects are carried out on time and to schedule, to the highest standards and within budget
-Monitoring/managing project performance and highlighting problem areas in good time to the Line Manager
-Attendance to client meetings regarding project interface
-Attendance offshore to supervise and assure project fulfilment
-Any other relevant work/projects assigned by the Management team from time to time
-To provide leadership and to promote responsible attitudes towards Health and Safety among their staff
-To ensure that all tasks carried out in their areas are performed with the utmost regard for the Health and Safety of all those involved
-To report Accidents immediately to the Operations Manager, QHSE Manager and Managing Director and ensuring that a full accident investigation is carried out with a view to preventing similar occurrences in the future
-To Provide equipment and methods of working to ensure that they are safe and do not endanger health and arrangements for the safe handling, storage and movements of materials, equipment and substances
