JAM have an urgent vacancy for a Responsible Mechanical Engineer to join an organisation serving the UK Nuclear industry. With expanding operations and a full order book this client requires a self starting professional engineer to oversee a range of projects concerned with nuclear ventilation, specialist container design and waste transportation solutions.

The Role...

As a pivotal member of the team you will be responsible for overseeing simple design work on mechanical handling systems, piping, valves and containers. You'll also have good knowledge of nuclear, hospital or chemical ventilation systems and experience of specifiying equipment to the relevant industry standards. You will be tasked with managing the quality, process, specification and design aspects for a range of installation projects. This is a broad based mechanical engineering role that would ideally suit somebody with a nuclear background but other backgrounds will be considered.

As a Chartered Engineer you'll have good knowledge of the necessary regulatory requirements and CDM regulations. Moving forward this company need a self sufficient and motivated individual who can manage their own workload and liaise easily with clients and suppliers.
