Senior Project Engineer - 60-70k basic + Benefits + Bonuses
We have a genuinely exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join a global oil & gas engineering business operating out of the East Anglia region. Responsible for providing Project Management and Project Engineering support and with complete control over the technical, quality, commercial and administrative aspects of the company product and service range, youll play a key part in the successful delivery of a number of large global projects.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Project Management / Engineering support
-Preparation of bids and quotations for potential projects
-Preparation of comprehensive programmes of work and equipment lists for assigned projects;
-Responsibility for delivery of the products and services on time, quality and cost
-Liaison with sales team to identify and respond to sales opportunities
JOB CONTEXT & MAIN ACTIVITIES:
-Act as client point of contact
-Provide input into tender bids and quotations for new opportunities
-Control and manage of all commercial and technical aspects of assigned projects
-Prepare job travellers for workshop staff to ensure all equipment and tooling is assembled / prepared to meet the time demands of the project and all consumables / parts are available
-Select the correct tools/equipment to fulfil operational requirements with the assistance of the Technical Director and Operations Manager
-Complete all database / project process documentation as per Companys IMS procedures
-Ensure all calculations are carried out to verify the suitability of procedures and equipment proposed to be used
-Produce detailed technical reports and procedures to the company standard
-Responsibility for ensuring assigned projects are carried out on time and to schedule, to the highest standards and within budget
-Monitor & manage project performance and highlight problem areas
-Ensure all QA/ HSE and personnel issues have been considered
-Attend offshore to supervise and assure project fulfilment
-Sign off purchase orders as and when required to an agreed maximum spend, in accordance with defined authority levels
-Supervise Service Technicians when in an offshore context
-Mentor and train Project Engineers under your charge in operation and installation of company products and services in an offshore environment
HSE
-Provide leadership and promote responsible attitudes towards Health and Safety
-To ensure that all tasks carried out in their areas are performed with the utmost regard for the Health and Safety
-Report Accidents immediately to the Operations Manager, QHSE Manager and Managing Director and ensuring that a full accident investigation is carried out
-Provide equipment and methods of working to ensure that they are safe and do not endanger health
-Ensure sufficient information, instructions, training and supervision is provided
