My Eurojobs

Saved Jobs

This is where all the jobs you have found searching the site, will be listed. It is just a ‘shopping' list. Listing them in this section means that you have NOT applied for these positions. You can do so by clicking on ‘Apply’ to the right of the job title in the Tools column.

Applications

This is where all the jobs you have applied for are listed. Here you will be able to see what stage your application is at. If the recruiter has not updated the stage within 2 weeks you can safely assume that the recruiter is not interested. The recruiter should update the stage on a regular basis, but as they are human they might not do this as regularly as you and we want. You can always withdraw your application, send the recruiter a message via our system or contact the recruiter directly.

In the tools column you can see links to Messages (To and from the recruiter), View job advert and Cancel. Cancel will withdraw/delete your application from the recruiter. You can cancel multiple applications by selecting the tick box to the left of the reference field and pressing the ‘Cancel selected Applications’ button at the bottom.

Job Finders

Job Finders are your personal robots, searching for new jobs that appear on the site. They will let you know when potentially interesting jobs have been placed on the site.

To create a new Job Finder, go to Find jobs, do a search and save the search (regardless of whether the search produced any results)

In the tools column you can (re)run, edit or delete the Job Finders you have created.

Polls

Once you have participated in a poll, you will be able to view the latest results and see what other people think.

How Does The Recruitment Process Work?

Recruiters will evaluate the response on a job advert and decide which candidates are interesting enough to pursue. Once you have been short listed by a potential employer you will probably first have a telephone interview, depending on where the recruiter and you are based.

Depending on the seniority of the job that you have been selected for you might be flown over for a face-to-face interview or it can be arranged near you.

If you are flown out to be interviewed you will also be able to research your new city in more detail.

If you successfully pass the interview(s) you might be offered the job.

You then can start salary package negotiations.

Usually, if an employer is relocating you, they will pay for:
  • Flights to the new city.
  • Some part or all of your accommodation costs.
  • Or your hotel costs while you search for accommodation.
  • Your visa.
  • Your dependants’ visas.
  • Medical insurance.

Scams

Please be aware that you NEVER should send banking or passport details, or money to a recruiter. There are many scammers around who will try to trick you into believing that you need to pay for visas, recruitment fees, stamp duty, etc. Once you have paid, you will hear nothing from them. They will just take you money and disappear.

Other scammers can offer you a job to process payments. Please be aware that these ‘jobs’ might involve laundering drugs money and you might end up in jail.

Scammers often have a poor command of English and make many spelling and grammatical errors. These are tell tale signs. The scammers are often based in Nigeria and use free e-mail accounts such as Yahoo, MSN and Google mail.

If an offer is ‘too good to be true’ than it probably is.

Applying via Eurojobs

When you have found an interesting position and want to apply, you only need to click the 'Apply' button. If you are not logged in as a candidate you will need to do so first and/or register your CV on the site. The recruiter will be notified automatically of your application. He will automatically have access to your CV. You can check the status of your application(s) in My Eurojobs>Applications.

Messages

The messages section allows you to communicate directly with a recruiter. You don’t need to send an e-mail as these messages automatically pop up in the recruiter’s account. Even if you have barred a recruiter from seeing all your details (not advisable) you will still be able to communicate with the recruiter without revealing your identity.
