Team Horizon currently has an exciting opening for a Project Engineer to work on our client’s medical device facility.

What you will be doing:
  • This individual will be responsible for the design and co-ordination of packaging & labelling activities for New Product Development (NPD) and legacy products, packaging and labelling. This will include product package design, product labels, DFU’s (Direction for Use) and packaging specifications.
  • Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost
  • Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts
  • Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons
  • Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product
  • Generating design assurance documentation for the project
  • Liaise with vendors on specifications for package and label components
  • Communicate with various departments within the Company on packaging related projects
  • Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
What you need to apply:
  • B.S. in Packaging Engineering or Engineering discipline required plus 0-3 years of experience required.
  • Good understanding of Packaging & Labelling Design Element requirements within a regulated industry
  • NFQ Level 8 degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a Medical Device or other regulated industry
  • Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
  • Helping to identify customer requirements for a new product
  • Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
