Position Title: General Experienced Dentist

Location: Centric Health Primary Care Ltd., Ballyowen Castle Dental, Ballyowen Castle Medical & Dental Centre, Ballyowen, Lucan, Co. Dublin

Terms: Full-Time, 2-Year Fixed-Term, 39 Hours per Week

Salary: €32,000 per annum

Effective: 17th August 2020

Direct Report: Head of Dental


Purpose of Position:

Centric Health is a fast-growing organisation in the developing Primary Healthcare Sector in Ireland and have an exciting opportunity for a general Dentist. The Dentist will join the Dental Team to provide a full range of services to our patients. The Dentist will meet with patients, assess their dental health, perform scheduled cleanings, handle complex procedures, such as root canals, extractions and oral surgery. Collaborating with the extended dental team such as dental nurses, hygienists, assistants, specialists and administrators, to provide our clients and customers with quality dental services. You should also be able to assist in the management of the practice and in promoting good oral hygiene.

The successful candidate should be caring, communicative, and experienced in diagnosing and treating dental disease and planning and implementing treatment plans both routine and complex.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

· Meeting with patients to discuss and treat dental concerns, performing regular cleanings and other preventative dental procedures and establish a plan for better dental hygiene.

· Performing full range of dental procedures such as Periodontal, Endodontic, Minor Oral surgery and Restorative treatments.

· Some experience with Orthodontic treatment is a distinct advantage.

· Excellent records keeping, Competent treatment of patients in pain and a continuing interest relating to the oral health of patients and the treatments provided.

· Managing and communicating with both patients & staff members to provide the best care to patients.

Other Duties: As deemed appropriate by the Head of Dental

Position Requirements:

· Strong time management skills with an ability to prioritize.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and team player as the person will deal internally with different colleagues for each business unit, with business managers and external customer and suppliers.

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

· Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement change.

· Confident committed individual who works well under pressure.

Direct Report – Head of Dental

Internal Communication – Dental Practice Coordinator, Dental Team, HR Business Partner, Finance Business Partner and Administrators.

External Communication – Patients, Suppliers, Customers and Specialists.


Responsibilities for Continuous Self Development:

The job holder is responsible for maintaining their own continuous self – development in agreement

with the Head of Dental. The Head of Dental will work with HR to identify resources available to

increase professional development. The job holder will attend mandatory training required for the

role.
