The Opportunity

Team Horizon is seeking a QC Analyst III to provide an effective testing and analytical service to the plant ensuring that products manufactured are tested to specification on time and plant quality and safety goals are met. This role is perfectly suited to anyone who is looking to join a large ambitious global generics company

The Role

  • Analyse Raw Materials, In-Process Materials and Finished Products
  • To maintain all laboratory notebooks, records, chromatograms to an acceptable GLP standard
  • To maintain good housekeeping and hygiene within the laboratory
  • To maintain and follow all relevant Standard Operating procedures
  • To calibrate and maintain designated laboratory instruments
  • To support the laboratory testing schedule in order to achieve an efficient QC system
  • To bring to the notice of the supervisor or manager any discrepancies, deviations or non-conformance’s in testing or work practice
  • To follow up to date analytical practices with reference to pharmacopoeias, specifications, regulations and industry standards
  • To adhere to any agreed internal laboratory rota tasks
  • Liaising with other departments in relation to QC dispatch/testing
  • To liaise with external suppliers/vendors in relation to QC consumables
  • Ad hoc duties as determined by QC Manager

The Person

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a Science related discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry or Analytical science) and 5-7 years of relevant industrial experience. Previous HPLC/GC/ peptide analysis experience in method validation / transfer (preferably with Empower software) is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of chemistry / biochemistry (chromatographic, wet chemistry and peptide analysis) techniques
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Empower and other lab software systems
  • cGMP
  • GC Experience
  • Experience of FDA/HPRA audits
  • Trackwise knowledge
