To develop and lead the deployment of Digital Solutions for customers in Europe and Central Asia (cluster ECA), we have been entrusted to recruit the:

Digital Solutions Manager - Rif. H18435

Location: the preferred location of the position is Rubiera (Italy) however it can be based in any of our entities across cluster ECA


The digital transformation initiative seeks to improve business performance and create customer value through three pillars; accelerate quality and performance, grow digital services, and the re-invention of our digital package. Digital solutions are one part of the digital transformation initiative of Tetra Pak.

In this position, you will be working across functions with team members from portfolio management, sales, marketing, supply chain operation across ECA and with global product management.

You will report to the Cluster Portfolio Director Cluster ECA, part of the Management Team of ECA Cluster Marketing. Based in Europe, you will travel across Cluster ECA frequently and out of Europe occasionally.

We are particularly looking for someone that has solid experience of consultative selling including different sales techniques, ability to understand customers’ strategic goals and translate customers’ needs into requirement specification for new offerings and as well as matching it with existing innovative solutions, together with proven digital solution knowledge and capabilities, especially in the area of consumer engagement and traceability.

We are looking for a candidate with their head in the clouds and feet firmly planted on the ground.

This is a newly created position and we seek a passionate individual possessing strong entrepreneurial skills with the ability to influence and generate results in a dynamic business environment.

The successful candidate will:

• have to demonstrate a proven track record in a commercial/product management role;

• have the ability to introduce new digital products, services and/ or business models;

• respond well to customer driven innovation and matrix management;

• have the ability to deliver and manage digital projects.

You should be familiar with the latest methods and tools for designing customer value proposition, design thinking and lean start up methodology. There should be clear evidence of having introduced/managed digital product solutions using these and/or other methods.


• Support Key Account Managers, Portfolio Managers and marketing teams in presenting a full value proposition for digital solutions, such as traceability and digital consumer engagement.

• Participate in the development of digital products to map customer pains, gains and jobs to be done and specify requirements and create a full customer value proposition to match existing solutions.

• Prepare and facilitate customer business development workshops at our customer innovation centre and or onsite at customer premises.

• Build deployment roadmap for our digital solutions across all markets in ECA.

• Liaise with Tetra Pak services, sales, portfolio management and marketing services to secure seamless launch of new offerings.

• Work with start-ups to design experiments and pilot implementation of new digital solutions projects/ideas with start-ups and similar organisations outside Tetra Pak.

• Work with global product management in developing and deploying product roadmap for digital solutions.

• Training of sales, portfolio and marketing teams in digital products/solutions on an ongoing basis.

• Pilot new offering concepts with customers, record customer feedback and iterate potential updates with development organization securing successful and step wise introduction of innovations to the market.

The role requires 50% of travelling.


Language and Education:

· To be a successful candidate you should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field with an MBA or digital marketing background.

· You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the B2B consultative selling, product management of digital products and solutions

Professional Skills and Experience:

· You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the B2B consultative selling, product management of digital products and solutions.

· You have proven track record of successful commercializing new products/services and/or business models.

· Familiarity with digital solutions in the food industry related to automation services, traceability and consumer engagement is desirable.

· Related industries and applications will also be considered. Experience in packaging, FMCG, E-commerce and start- up companies will be considered an advantage.
