KPMG Advisory Spa is now looking for multi-skilled ICT experts along with the profile of

Application Architect

A successful candidate should boast at least six years of relevant ICT professional experience with in-depth knowledge of: Service Oriented Architecture, design and development of information systems; relational database management systems and SQL; software development, in particular Oracle PL/SQL; Information Systems security and development; technical analysis; UML (or case tools) and RUP methodology is considered as advantage. The candidate should possess a fluent knowledge of English and/or French and the following mandatory skills

ü Team spirit, “Can Do attitude”, pro-active attitude in interaction with others and client service skills

ü Capability to focus on what is essential, ability to apply high quality standards and ability to cope with fast changing technologies

ü Familiar with software methodology

ü Capability to work in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working

Furthermore, the candidate might be requested to possess a specific expertise in the following non exhaustive tools:

· Languages and protocols: SQL, PL/SQL, Java/J2EE, C, C++, Perl, JSP, JDBC, XML, modelling tools (UML), JMS, .NET, SOAP, web 2.0, a business process modelling tool, a DBMS or specific design or architectural tool

· Products: Oracle RDBMS, BEA Weblogic, ColdFusion, Eclipse, Oracle JDeveloper, Visual Basic, C#, Powerbuilder, Oracle workflow, PostgreSQL, JBoss, MySQL, SQL Server.

The type of tasks included in the service will concentrate upon:

ü Work under the guidance of a senior architect on the analysis, design and implementation of new information systems as well as maintenance and new features for existing applications.

ü Prepare application design; contribute to requirements analysis, business process modelling and implementation.

ü Present all developments done within the projects to several user communities, participate in meetings for future developments within these projects and present their functionality and act as a promoter of the projects.

ü Review the applicability of developed functionality and perform testing activities.

ü Contribute to the enhancement of internal software development procedures and best practices.

ü Produce documentation of studies, user requirements, feasibility studies, testing artefacts and other relevant documents.

ü Identification of the risks and issues currently affecting the IS under consideration.

ü Production of the relevant artefacts defined by the Client IT Architecture Framework and by RUP
