Cross Border Talent's Client is hiring a Software Design Engineer to join one of our Clients in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Your Role as a Software Design Engineer:

  • Usually, you will become part of an (agile) team where you will be working closely together with engineers who just like you enjoy working in the High Tech industry
  • Based upon the knowledge/test experience you will be involved in the SDLC
  • Developing software in C/C++ in a Linux / VxWorks / RTOS based environment where proficiency in UML, OOP, Git, and Python are also important assets
  • Monitoring project updates and reported defects in order to provide the necessary modifications
  • Ensuring understanding of your domain to be able to provide technical coding solutions
  • Being able to recommend new or improved development techniques, methods and tools
  • Ensuring timely clear communication and reporting


Job Requirements:

Your Profile as a Software Design Engineer:

  • MSc or BSc engineering/tech degree as well as a broad technical understanding and interest
  • As an MSc, you have a minimum of 3 years’ developing experience, preferably in the manufacturing/high-tech systems environment (no banking, insurance, e-commerce, web etc.)
  • You enjoy working on developing of complex (embedded) software (systems)
  • Proven good understanding of hardware/software development lifecycle
  • Strong drive to achieve quality and the ability to handle cultural differences
  • Very good analytical skills to continually compare needs with software capabilities
  • Proven experience with Agile/Scrum is a big plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
