How it all started

TravelBird was born in April 2010 in the Netherlands. It all began in an attic with Dennis and Symen offering one deal a day. Almost four years later TravelBird features the most competitively priced holidays in Europe. And the expansion isn't over yet.. Soon the rest of the world will follow! The idea is simple; six inspiring deals a day, ultimate travel experiences which are easy to book. In the vibrant office in Amsterdam many enthusiastic, international employees work every day to find the best holiday destinations and create the best deals for everyone!

A day as an Account Manager

We start each day with a fresh coffee, a chit chat with your colleagues and a sales update to establish our goals and see if we are still on the right course together. Throughout the day, you are constantly researching current trends, evaluating the competition and identifying new hot leads in order to enable TravelBird to promote the most unique and diverse daily deals. You will work individually on establishing, developing, maintaining and expanding a client portfolio. Aftersales, relationship management and executing administrational tasks are also part of your daily routine. To maximize your personal revenue, you will have to negotiate the best rates and commission percentages and proactively contract new leisure providers (hotels & touroperators). Apart from working individually on achieving your personal targets, you will be expected to join efforts with team members from travel advisors and web editors in order to stimulate growth of your country as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Who you are

  • Creative, Enthusiastic, Flexible and FUN;
  • Smart (Bachelor degree in Business Studies, Economics, Marketing);
  • Knows how to sell and have 1 or 2 years sales experience;
  • Your heart beats faster when thinking of closing deals and travelling;
  • Positive, happy and eager to learn something new every day;
  • A genius in creating new business opportunities & native French;
  • An excellent communicator, a persuasive individual who influences those he meets with;
  • A natural sales person who constantly follows up leads;
  • Live in (or around) the beautiful and vibrant city Amsterdam or are willing to move..
