An exciting opportunity exists within the EMEA Customer Services department and this position will be based in our Shared Service Centre in Venlo, The Netherlands.
The successful Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing excellent and consistent communication to both internal and external customers on the day to day business activities and requests generated with regard to customer service of Belden products. 
The key challenges of the position will be to develop and maintain a highly skilled level of product knowledge, sales policies, and familiarity with company procedures to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

Principle Accountabilities
  •  Respond in a timely manner to all customer request/enquiries [typical queries Pricing, availability of product, Catalogue or Sample requests or Company Information]
  • Ensure full registration of all projects followed by quotation for all Business Units [BWCS, ICOS & INET]
  • Responsible for management and processing of order entry onto the system [BPCS, SAP]
  • Provide initial support to customers where required and observe the need for escalation where necessary to Competence Centre staff
  • Accurately process and manage customer complaint through Belden EMEA complaints process, ensuring customer is kept up-to date through the process
  • Provides stock availability, lead time, product change, quote and order status, and shipping date information to customers
  • Cooperates with credit department for effective management of all credit issues related to the customer
  • Enters customer complaints and reports any problem affecting service to customers to the customer service manager
  • To organise the return of goods in line with Company procedures, implement the dispatch of replacements where appropriate
  • To handle invoice/account queries raising and checking credit notes where appropriate
  • To liaise with relevant colleagues in response to customer requests [Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Product Management etc.]
  • To resolve queries in line with departmental KPI’s
  • Manage time effectively to ensure that department KPI’s are met (e.g. Order entry, Time to quote and Complaint resolution)
  • Perform pro-active calls/sales activities to achieve department KPI’s
  • Enters, monitors, maintains and follows through to completion, quotes and orders to customers
  • Work in conjunction with other departments as go-to for all customer related activities (e.g. Finance and Operations)
  • Support Vertical and Channel Sales Management in customer support related activities
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Vertical and Channel sales team, BU’s, Competence Centre, Supply Chain and other internal and external customers
  • Recommends products or services and alternatives to meet customer needs
  • Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of current sales and marketing policies, objectives, programs, promotions, terms and conditions of sale, etc.
  • Proven track record of working in a Customer services/Customer care/Inside Sales role essential
  • Proven track record of working in a commercial B2B environment [desirable]
  • Demonstrate system knowledge and operating experience within a Customer services/Customer care/ Inside Sales environment
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • BPCS / SAP Knowledge [desirable]
  • Business Level German and English essential
  • Fluency in Dutch essential
  • Knowledge of the Wire and Cable and signal industry desirable
