Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development the Senior Associate, Corporate Development will contribute to the overall growth of Accruent by sourcing acquisition targets in Europe as part of the Corporate Development Team.

The focus will be to support the organization by developing and executing an M&A target
outreach plan, assessing acquisition “fit” to support the analysis and evaluation of potential targets, summarizing target information for review by the Accruent C-Team and Board, and assess and track the lifecycle of acquisition opportunities.

The Sr. Associate will work with key Accruent stakeholders to vet opportunities against strategic business objectives,and coordinate the development, analysis, and execution of proposed high-value strategic initiatives. This position requires determination, focus, curiosity, and resilience. Your efforts will have a direct impact on Accruent’s growth.

Job Requirements:

The Senior Associate, Corporate Development will:

  • Research, identify, and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities through internet research, outreach by phone/email, and reading market reports
  • Provide internal pipeline reporting to Corporate Development & C-level Leadership through Powerpoint summaries and weekly update calls.
  • Track and report on deals in the pipeline and active targets that are being contacted.
  • Experience working in a multicultural context
  • Initiate and progress acquisition opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with founders and executive management of potential acquisition targets.
  • Develop relationships and maintain cadence of communication with investment banking community.
  • Partner with and assist Corporate Development Team in advancing key opportunities throughout the process, assessing both the product and commercial fit.
  • Work closely with European colleagues to develop business cases to support strategic fit of an acquisition.
  • Strive for self-improvement and possess the curiosity to stay abreast of industry and market trends by utilizing various research organizations, sales books, and collateral.


  • Ability to explain technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to prospect for acquisition targets by phone for long hours.
  • Ability to build professional rapport by telephone and email with prospects at Executive or C-level.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to uncover opportunities via phone conversation through probing questions to create a vision for a potential seller as to how a combination with Accruent will benefit the seller’s employees and customers, as well has the seller benefiting personally.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and work efficiently against tight deadlines.
  • Strong command of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • An energetic and positive personality with curiosity to learn and grow.
