We are building a cloud services automation platform that makes it fast, easy and secure for major law firms to adopt and manage artificial intelligence, smart contract and other new technologies. Backed by a consortium of leading law firms as well as influential investors, we aim to play a leading role in a rapidly advancing transformation of the practice of law.

Our platform enables law firms to efficiently utilize a broad range of cloud applications while maintaining a single, secure hosting and storage solution for all firm and client content and data. The platform offers application vendors clear, consistent integration APIs and automates provisioning, service configuration, customer self-management, mediation and rating, multi-model and multi-currency billing and reconciliation for cloud applications. The platform also enables a consistent, state-of-the-art approach to application training and support.

We are seeking a highly ambitious executive to serve as VP, Law Firm Relationships and lead our efforts to collaborate with and successfully serve major law firms, initially with a focus solely on the members of our consortium and eventually to additional firms that contract to use our platform. The VP, Law Firm Relationships will play a central role in helping our clients accelerate significant business process and business model transformation through the effective implementation of artificial intelligence, smart contract and other new technologies across their organizations.

The position reports to our Founder/CEO and, ideally, is based in our Amsterdam headquarters, although working out of our San Francisco office or remotely are also possibilities.

  • Develop and spread a strong vision for how technology will differentiate services, create competitive advantage and ultimately redefine the law firm of the future.
  • Work closely with law firm partners and executive leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities to trial and adopt new technologies through our platform.
  • Help construct and manage pilots and roll-outs of the platform and applications, with keen attention to technical development and integration and the organizational change management required to ensure successful and productive user experiences.
  • Support transformation programs by leading, mentoring and advising through change management strategy, planning and execution activities.
  • Design, construct and deliver a standardized, consistent solution for training and support in respect of the platform and applications, across all key stakeholders and firm personnel.
  • Provide law firm point of view and domain expertise in our internal strategic and product roadmap discussions and deliberations.
  • Identify industry changing technologies by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations, reading publications and developing personal networks with our Consortium partners, academics and other experts in the fields we target.
  • Recruit, organize and inspire multi-cultural team of junior law firm relationship managers.
  • Help build progressive learning culture.

Job Requirements:


Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of distinctive experience in delivering organizational change within highly competitive/professional organizations or as a consultant to such enterprises.
  • Advanced understanding of the culture, working environment and business models of major law firms.
  • Technology industry and implementation acumen.
  • Exceptional people skills and ability to engage all levels of large organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Passionate about the potential of artificial intelligence, machine learning and other new technologies to transform the practice of law.
  • Proven ability to recruit and manage geographically dispersed teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set; self-starter, strategically focused, with attention to detail, and good business judgment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • JD or MBA.
  • Experience in both legal industry (major law firms) and consulting environments.
  • 5+ years of experience leading change and organizational change management efforts within the legal industry.
  • 5+ years of experience working with new, disruptive technologies.
  • Previous early stage start-up experience.
