We have a job opportunity for a Danish speaking IT Help desk Agent to provide technical customer support in stunning Cape Town, South Africa.

A well established company in Cape Town, South Africa is seeking a Danish speaking IT Help desk Agent to be responsible for internal and external post-sales support. The Danish candidate will be the secondary contact for existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction and the primary contact for customers.  An amazing job opportunity awaits you!

Your job responsibilities as the Danish speaking IT Help desk Agent in Cape Town, South Africa include:

  • 1st and 2nd tier troubleshooting including outbound and follow-up phone calls
  • Handle incoming call escalations from customers promptly, courteously and with attention to detail
  • Work with the Customer Support and Field Operations teams to escalate technical problems and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Assist customers in configuring their databases
  • Document all phone contacts on the internal system and all email contacts in the company email management tool
  • Act as a point of reference for internal staff
  • Train customer employees on use of the software and gather customer feedback
  • Carry out practical research to keep abreast of new technologies
  • Assist Marketing team as they design specific marketing programs
  • Provide office management duties

Job Requirements:

Experience required for this Danish speaking IT Help desk Agent job in Cape Town, South Africa:

  • Must be bilingual English and Danish,
  • 1-2 years experience providing customer support services or Tier 1 technical support preferably in a software support environment
  • Knowledge of computers, Windows 2000 & XP, TCP/IP networking, hardware maintenance and DSL
  • Solid understanding of the internet (email, web browsers, TCP/IP)
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (NT, 2000, XP)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking, wiring, routers, modems
  • Knowledge of broadband technologies (DSL and/or cable modems)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills: active listening, writing/typing, informal communication
  • Insurance or Financial experience a big plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
