Payroll Administrator
Salary is circa £22,500 pa.
9am to 4.30pm with half-hour lunch
Free onsite parking

A proudly independent company who is an investor in people is looking for a Payroll administrator. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone who has actually done the whole payroll process. If you have just collated figures and passed them to an external accountant or payroll company then, unfortunately, this is not the role for you as the client processes payroll internally.

Main Payroll Responsibilities:
 Process monthly Timesheets & data entry into Pegasus Opera 3 payroll for approx. 500 employees.
 Collate some monthly timesheets for Group companies and process in line with company requirements (Regional area timesheets will be collated onto payroll spreadsheets by the Payroll Administrators for entry into Pegasus)
 Processing/emailing of monthly payslips/amended payslips
 Responsible for maintaining and updating payroll processes
 Processing P32, P11D’s, P46 Car forms, statutory year-end returns and P60s.
 Deal with employee salary and payroll queries
 Processing of Tax code notices.
 Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating all payroll processes.
 Responsible for all reporting from payroll in line with HR and business requirements.
 Maintain and update static payroll data as per business requirements.
 Submit RTI reports to HMRC
 Enter variable overtime and commission and mileage payments
 Liaise with Revenue and Customs where necessary.
 Chase unit managers for missing information where necessary
 Update & calculate all statutory payments as appropriate i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP.
 Any other payroll duties as required by the business

Key Skills and Competency Requirements
 Experience of using Pegasus Opera 3 is advantageous though not essential.
Previous computer accounts system experience is required.
 MS Outlook, Excel (Advanced) and Word skills.
 Knowledge of statutory payments as appropriate i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP
 Previous knowledge of running a payroll essential.
