PURPOSE OF POSITION
Agile•1 seeks to add a Business Development Director to its U.K. team.  This individual plays a key role in developing Agile•1’s sales strategy and then executing such strategy by structuring, negotiating, and closing revenue opportunities and generating deals independently and with key partners. The BDD will is responsible for: Identifying opportunities for new business through on-going research, channel partner relationships, and strategic analysis of products and marketplace; leveraging a network of relationships with external partners; facilitating open communication within the department as well as across all departments and business units; and turning leads from outside sources into meetings and opportunities. This position requires both the ability to motivate and manage others and to work directly with prospective business partners and clients to drive sales. This position will aid in generating additional business opportunities for all verticals of the ACT•1 Group of Companies.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
  1. Accountability for all aspects of account development and management. This includes prospecting, researching and compiling detail for financial management, such as the pricing of engagements (based on Agile•1 management defined parameters) forecasting and achievement of revenue targets.
  2. Assuming responsibility for all facets of business development to acquire, build, maintain and manage customer relationships.
  3. Growing revenue within the client account and its affiliates drive additional opportunities post implementation.
 
  1. Work with the Business Solutions and Engagement Management teams to transition account management smoothly (effectively transitioning customer engagement from sales to delivery). 
  2. Document all sales activity into the Salesforce system.
  3. Providing subject matter expertise related to Staffing, Supplier Management, and Workforce Acquisition Technology industry.
  4. Work in conjunction with internal legal department to process sales contracts,    create SOW language and finalize for contract signature.
  5. Hiring, training, managing, evaluating direct reports (if applicable).
  6. Development of yearly strategic sales plans, with responsibility to meet an annual sales quota.
  7. Participate in the RFP-Proposal and Presentation preparation and delivery process.
  8. Participate, when required, in company projects and trade shows.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams in presenting an overall solution to potential and current clients. Includes but is not limited to all Agile•1 and ACT•1 departments as necessary.
 
 

Job Requirements:

 
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
This individual will have 4-7 years’ experience in business development, sales, strategic planning, deal negotiation and management, with Fortune 500 companies, preferably in the technology, managed services, RPO, workforce consulting Industries.

  1. At least 3 years of proven experience in sales in human resources related activities such as recruiting/ staffing, customer relationship management, business development, supplier management, and/or HRIS technology.  Preferred – experience selling technology-related and staffing and supplier management solutions to enterprise customers.
  2. At least 5 years of direct, outside sales experience.
  3. Prior experience with the management of sales teams.
  4. Proficient in structuring complex deals and securing partnerships with enterprise customers.
  5. Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, secure new business and build lasting professional relationships with c-level executives.
  6. Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  7. Demonstrated interest and success in the staffing, supplier management, and technology field with a strong background in general business.
  8. Working knowledge of desktop computers and MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook. MS Project, Internet access and CRM tools.
  9. Ability to learn proprietary technology.
  10. Knowledge of the application of technology solutions within the Staffing and Supplier Management industry.
  11. Demonstrated ability to extend customer relationships beyond initial project.
  12. Bright, dynamic, and articulate with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
  13. Strong financial acumen and can manage accounts to achieve financial profitability goals.
  14. Ability to excel in a goal oriented sales environment
  15. Excellent presentation skills/solid public speaking ability
  16. Frequent travel national and international travel.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; five (5) years of industry related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
